BEGINNER'S
ACTING
for ages 5 - 7
Every Saturday, January 5 - March 15
9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
Cost: $150
Beginner classes use young children's natural gift for
imaginative play to teach character and concentration, and introduce
performance skills such as vocal projection and stage presence. The
class will put their lessons to use in the rehearsal of a short play
which will be performed for their parents at the end of the
semester.

INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED

Every Saturday, January 5 - March 15
10:45-12:15 a.m.

Intermediate classes focus on acting techniques,
movement, and
character development through monologues and partnered scenes. By the
end of their time in class, students should be able to speak clearly,
vocalize loudly, physicalize a character, demonstrate improvisation
skills, work as a team with other students, audition with ease, and
confidently perform a short scene or monologue in the showcase at the
end of the semester.
(Beginning January 19, based on
their
work during the first two weeks, a small group of more advanced
students will be transferred to a 12:30-2:00 p.m. class. Class
placement is solely at the discretion of the teachers.)
