KIDS-N-CO. presents this popular holiday tale, adapted by Carol Viescas
into a bilingual musical, in which a poor Mexican girl’s humble but
heartfelt offering is the first step towards a miracle whose effects
are seen each Christmas
to this very day. A single, simple, sincere gesture is often the
catalyst that leads to monumental and lasting change.

Lupita (Rebecca Filetti, right) tells her friend Espy (Andrea
Mendoza)
that since she has no gift to bring to the mange scene at the
church, she will bring all she has,
the weeds growing in her mother's
vegetable garden.

Angel, the mayor's son (Renato de Leon, right) teases Lupita (Rececca
Filetti, center) about her poverty,
while her best friend (Andrea Mendoza) looks on.

Lupta's mother (Janet Furtney) tries to comfort her when after a
cruel teasing.

Lupita and her friend Espy are amazed when Lupita's gift of weeds turns
into a beautiful red flower.

Espy defends her friend Lupita by telling Angel he offends God
when he speaks ill of others.
